Winter Series 2025

Are you looking for a way to get your health and fitness started?
The Winter Series is a six-week program hosted by the MOVE Moonee Valley team, and combines a variety of different health and fitness sessions across two MOVE locations - Ascot Vale Leisure Centre and Keilor East Leisure Centre. All session registrations are available via Eventbrite.
There are a variety of sessions available including BODYBALANCE™, Aqua Aerobics, Cycle and Teen Mat Pilates (13 - 17yrs) sessions.
We have also introduced two Women Only sessions: Women's Only Zumba and Women's Only BODYBALANCE™. For these sessions blinds/curtains will be closed over all windows and the session will be supported by a female instructor.
You have the flexibility to pick individual sessions if you'd like to just try everything first, or if you're looking to kickstart your fitness and want a challenge, you can pick and choose sessions from all of them and enjoy the benefits of six weeks of varied training to assist both a healthy body, and a healthy mind!
The best part is that the Winter Series is entirely FREE!! Yep, FREE! It's not a typo. There's no catch. You don't even need to be an existing MOVE member. The Winter Series is open to everybody!
If you've been thinking about doing something positive for your health and fitness and making a change, then this is the perfect time to do so, and you can bring a friend, or a neighbour, or a family member - you could even organise a team and challenge each other!

Winter Series Booking Terms and Conditions
Keilor East Leisure Centre and Ascot Vale Leisure Centre Session Bookings
Group Fitness Bookings:
Cancellations: If you can no longer attend your booking, please notify your absence as soon as possible.
Other:
- Arrive 10 minutes before the class start time.
- For safety reasons, entry will not be permitted 5 mins after the class has started.
- Casual bookings are permitted to change their booking up until 24hrs prior, please notify centre within this time period or forfeit all fees paid.
- Participants are required to notify the staff of any medical conditions that may impact on their safety, wellbeing and enjoyment.
- Persons who are pregnant, suffer from heart disease, have physical injuries, have medical conditions that restrict their ability to exercise or are over the age of 50 must consult with a medical practitioner before participating in fitness activities.
- Members can only make appointments within the time restrictions of their membership.
- Persons under 16 can only participate in classes marked on the timetable as suitable for Teens.
- Please wear appropriate active wear clothing and closed toed shoes.
- Please bring a towel, yoga mat and water bottle to every class.

How do I register for the Winter Series?
All registrations for Winter Series are to be completed via Eventbrite.

How old do I need to be to participate in the Winter Series?
Participants need to be aged 16yrs and over.
Except for the Teen Mat Pilates class, this is for ages 13-17yrs old.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please ensure that you always bring a drink bottle with you, along with a sweat towel.
You'll also be able to access the showers and toilets at Keilor East Leisure Centre and Ascot Vale Leisure Centre, in case you need to shower and change your clothes after your class.
For the BODYBALANCE™ and Mat Pilates sessions we recommend that you bring a yoga mat. We do have some spares, however they are limited. Alternatively you can purchase yoga mats from a variety of retail stores (e.g. K-mart, BigW, Target, Rebel Sport etc.)
What do I need to wear?
It's important to feel comfortable in what you're wearing to exercising in, and only you can make that decision. Athletic wear is always the better option as it has specific fabrics that wick away sweat and help keep you cool. Avoid heavy fabrics that can become heavier when waterlogged with sweat.
We highly recommend that you invest in appropriate footwear if you're brand new to exercise to ensure that you get the right footwear for the right activity, as well as the right fit for your feet.
