Support your little one’s confidence and enjoyment of water from an early age!

Help your child to become comfortable and confident in and around the water in our Splish Splash aqua playgroup at MOVE Moonee Valley! We believe in creating safe, enjoyable, lifelong connections to water. The Splish Splash aqua playgroup is a wonderful way for babies and their parents or carers to develop positive connections in a supportive social environment.

Sessions are designed for babies aged between 3 - 6 months, catering for infant participants attending with their parents or carers. Sessions are flexible and dynamic, designed with you and your baby in mind.

We understand that your first playgroup session can be slightly daunting, but with a fully trained and accredited swim teacher present at all times, you can relax and enjoy safe and rewarding aquatic experiences with your baby.

Splish Splash sessions are held in our heated Learn to Swim Pools at the below times:

Keilor East Leisure Centre:
Wednesday 10:30am - 11:00am

Ascot Vale Leisure Centre:
Friday 11:30am - 12:00pm
Friday 12:15pm - 12:45pm

Spots are limited, please ensure you book ahead of time.
Sessions are available for casual booking on a weekly basis. Bookings can be made via our Active World app or by speaking to our team at Reception.

Program benefits

Introduce the water and aquatic environment to your baby from as early as 3 months. A fully qualified infant swim teacher will lead your playgroup through activities focused on water education for you as a parent and water familiarisation for your baby.

Splish Splash aqua playgroup support building a routine when visiting the pool and makes the transition into swimming lessons easier for both parent and baby.

Splish Splash FAQs

Our Splish Splash program is offered as casual sessions, meaning there is no commitment to weekly sessions or lock-in terms. You can come as little or as often as you like.

No - parents/carers will be able to stand in the water at all times during the sessions. However, it is important that parents or carers bringing their babies to Splish Splash sessions must also be calm and confident in and around water.

We're happy to help our participating parents or carers learn to safely and confidently swim through our adult swimming lessons program.
