
Shane
Qualification
Shane graduated from Edith Cowan University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science & Rehabilitation).
He previously worked as a personal trainer and brings over 10 years of experience as a remedial massage therapist, practising across a range of locations including Traralgon, Hobart, Perth, Brisbane, and Yellowknife (Canada).
Areas of expertise
Shane’s most recent role in exercise physiology was within the aged care sector, where he assessed, designed, and delivered tailored exercise programs for adults aged 55 years and over.
His work included both individual and group-based sessions, delivered in gym settings and hydrotherapy environments. He also provided services under the My Aged Care funded stream, including Support at Home and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP). Through this work, Shane has developed strong experience supporting clients with a range of conditions commonly seen in older adults, including cardiovascular disease, neurological conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders.
In addition to his exercise physiology training, Shane brings over a decade of remedial massage and hands-on experience, treating people of all ages for sports injuries, rehabilitation, and general musculoskeletal pain.
Bio
Shane finds great reward in helping people improve their strength, mobility, and overall physical function, and is passionate about supporting clients to regain confidence in their movement and daily activities.
Outside of work, Shane enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dachshunds, playing games, and staying active through regular exercise.
