Community Network Forums – September 26

2 forums. 17 organisations. 45 voices. One shared goal: ensuring no one misses out.

Our September Community Network Forums at AVLC and KELC brought together 45 people representing 17 different organisations across community services, health, disability, employment, education, local government, sport and leisure to share knowledge, strengthen connections and explore how we can collectively reduce barriers to participation.

We heard Samira Abdullahi share her journey through mentoring, volunteering and employment into community leadership with MOVE, alongside insights from organisations working across youth, disability, mental health, employment, food security, community connection and inclusion.

Most importantly, the forums created space to ask: Who is missing out, and what can we do together?

The conversations highlighted the power of collaboration, trusted community partnerships and inclusive programs in creating stronger pathways to participation, employment, health and connection. A huge thank you to everyone who attended, shared their expertise and continues to work alongside MOVE to create more welcoming, accessible and inclusive opportunities throughout Moonee Valley.

Together, we’re working to ensure no one misses out.
