Gym Etiquette Reminder

Whether you’re a casual visitor at Ascot Vale Leisure Centre (AVLC), Keilor East Leisure Centre (KELC) or a MOVE Member, we have some guidance around utilising our gym area that everybody should be aware of.

Always use a towel.
When utilising any gym equipment, we require everybody to use a towel for hygiene purposes. Please ensure that you bring a towel with you. If you don’t have a towel, we have some available at reception that can be purchased.

Wipe down the equipment.
Across the gym floor, there are multiple wipe stations. Please ensure you are utilising these wipes to clean the equipment after use. Please dispose of these wipes in a suitable bin after use.

Phone usage.
Please minimise phone use while on gym equipment so others can access it, particularly during peak times.

Fair use of equipment.
Please do not reserve equipment or occupy machines for extended periods. Please be mindful of others waiting to use equipment.

Respect others.
Treat all gym users and staff with respect at all times. Abusive, aggressive and/or violent behaviours towards others or our staff will not be tolerated.

We want everyone to enjoy a safe, clean and welcoming gym environment. Thank you for doing your part and helping create a positive experience for everyone.
